Salvation is Free

Writer: Richard RevelstokeRichard Revelstoke

Have you ever felt you had lost your sense of purpose or perhaps a time when life had lost all its meaning and joy?

Salvation is a funny thing. A lot of people don't like the word "salvation." Sounds too religious. And who are you to say someone needs saving?? From what? Most people think their life is fine the way it is...they don't need any rescuing. It's very true, you can't save a man who isn't drowning.

Yet Yeshua said he came "to seek and save the lost." Uh-oh, more religious words - who are the lost anyway?? Republicans? Gays? Mexicans? Hard to say who is really lost. Maybe if we look into our own lives and ponder whether there was ever a time where we didn't know where we were going anymore. Have you ever felt you had lost your sense of purpose or perhaps a time when life had lost all its meaning and joy?

Have you ever lost a loved one, someone you really cared for and needed in your life? That can be emotionally devastating. Sometimes it's hard to move on when we've lost someone or something. Losing a job or losing a relationship is often very difficult and the loses in life can crush us and even cause us to give up hope for a better and brighter future.

Sometimes we want to get over it but sometimes we can't. People can become so overwhelmed with the challenges of life that they actually lose the will to live and give up. What can give a person hope in times like these?

The name Yeshua is actually Hebrew for "God saves." Joshua ben Joseph promised to leave his spirit behind with us after he left this earth. Sometimes called the Comforter, this spirit lives within all of those who choose to receive it. A very present help in times of trouble. He said, "Come to me all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn of me, for I am true and loyal, and you shall find spiritual rest for your souls."

The sun is always coming up for the child of the Father. Salvation promises us greater happiness and joy, increased understanding and wisdom. He came to give us life more abundantly, to save us from everything life can throw at us. ❤️😃⚾️

While I was searching for a good photo to go with this, the Cranberries came on the radio. 📷:) God is good. ✌️🤩❤️ Here's the lyrics:

To all those people doing lines Don't do it, don't do it Inject your soul with liberty It's free, it's free

To all the kids with heroin eyes Don't do it, don't do it Because it's not, not what it seems No, no it's not, not what it seems

Salvation, salvation, salvation is free Salvation, salvation, salvation is free

To all the parents with sleepless nights Sleepless nights Tie your kids home to their beds Clean their heads

To all the kids with heroin eyes Don't do it, don't do it Because it's not, not what it seems No, no it's not, not what it seems

Salvation, salvation, salvation is free Salvation, salvation, salvation is free Salvation, salvation, salvation is free Salvation, salvation, salvation is free
